What motivates you? What motivates your children? How do you encourage them to do hard things?
I struggle with Guy, and usually just get frustrated. Then when I come up with ideas Cinderella loves them but they don't phase Guy.
I just keep telling them, "You can do hard things." I acknowledge that some things are hard, but we do them anyway.
Although recently, I was having trouble motivating one of my children to be a CHIPper worker (Cheerful, Hardworking, Impeccable, and Punctual), so I made a chart, and every day they are CHIPper with their morning chores, I tape a little chipmunk on it for them. When a child gets 10 chipmunks, they get ice cream with Mommy or Daddy.
