I have been feeling kind of stressed lately. I don't really get much down time, and I feel like I am going from the moment I get up in the morning until I go to bed at night. I am told, "you have to take care of yourself, so that you can take care of others."
I believe that is true, but I am having a hard time figuring out when to take care of myself. How do you do it?

Have your husband do more jobs around the house whenever he can so you have less to do during the day. Even if it means something stays messy most of the day. Your job is way more stressful than his. He can handle it. Hire a teenage girl to come over and clean a few things once a week. She will cost less than a professional maid. As soon as your kids go to bed be "off duty" and just relax until your bedtime. That's what I do. Don't forget prayer and scripture study. The lord wants to help, you just have to ask.
I love to read, it's how I relax. So sometimes when I am just feeling totally overwhelmed (as a homeschooling mom of 5 that's a daily occurrence) I tell my husband that I'm locking myself in my room for an hour and I just read or cross stitch. The kids know not to even knock on the door. Also I like to get out once a month with a couple of friends and hang out and chat. Date night every week is also a must! Good luck!
