For memorial day, we went and visited my father-in-law. He lives in the Eastern side of the state, where it tends to be much warmer and dryer than here. On Friday night we enjoyed a BBQ dinner at some friends house. It was great to let the kids go out and roam in the back yard, and play. One day WE will have a backyard, but for now, we just appreciate the times we can spend in other people's backyards.
While they were playing Guy discovered a little red wagon. He was enthralled by it. It was fun to watch him play. I've cut down my 7 1/2 min. video to this 3 1/2 min. one. Hopefully you enjoy watching it, as much as I did.

Bird Watching
So the other day Cinderella and I noticed a bird outside out window. Now this isn't rare, there are many birds in our area. But one thing I learned from our year in Virginia, is that you need to document the way things are in the areas where you live, because sometimes you never know when you will be leaving.
So I pulled out our new camcorder and we did some birdwatching.
One thing I learned about myself is that sometimes I am quite unobservant. Take a look at this video and see if you can figure out what I am talking about.
So it wasn't until I watched the video that I saw the bird in the planter. Did you notice that Cinderella saw it the whole time, and I was just clueless. It makes me wonder how many other things in my life I am so clueless about.

Days like this.....
So yesterday we had a temperature high of 51 degrees. And OK so when we lived in VA we had warmer days in February than that, but besides that February is usually cold and snowy. So having a day like yesterday, made me glad that we live in Washington right now.
And yes w took advantage of it. After naps we headed out to the playground at our complex.
Days like this make me realize that I don't let the kids get outside enough. It is hard, not having a back yard, but I really need to make an effort for them.
