I had a thought yesterday. What would it be like this holiday season if instead of focusing on getting ready for Santa to come, we instead focused on getting ready for Christ to come?
I really like that idea. I think it will help make the season more meaningful - and focused on what it's really about - Christ. The only draw back I've thought of was will it make your kids expect Him to come on Christmas? Will they be disappointed when He hasn't actually come? Not trying to talk you out of it. At all. I just saw this as a possible problem. Anyway, I'm going to do a Family Home Evening lesson on this to try to focus our family on preparing for Jesus this Christmas season too.
